pedestal rockers???Please help

Default pedestal rockers???Please help

hey everyone im building a 302 5.0 with my dad..were both lost....The heads i got are set up for pedestal rockers...but how do you perdestals sit underneath(between the rocker and head?) or when i put bolt in through top of rocker...if its through the top seems like the bolt isnt long enough?? please someone help

there should be a rocker then inside it is a removable what I call sled that the rocker pivots on and the bolt goes through the center off it and to keep them centered there is a locking bar that the pedastal sits in for both rockers on that mounting surface on the head

the fulcrum sits on top of / thru the rocker, and the bolt tightens the whole thing down tight to the head. (the rockers should be tight too, unless your pushrods are the wrong length)

with the fulcrum like that seems like the bolt is too short??? please help i though it goes pedestal to fulcrom to rocker then to bolt??

I'm asuming the cam lobe is on the base line instead of at the top of the lobe when you are trying to install this rocker?

Yeah, it sounds like the rocker arm is on one of the lobes. Rotate the engine until the pushrod is all the way down, then try it.

BTW, stock rocker arms?
