Just got my rims, now I need tires.....
Hey guys, my wheels just came in the mail, Ill get pictures later today, they are Centerline Convo ET's (draglites basically), well I have 7.5 inch front and 8.5 inch rear, and I cant decide what tires I will be ordering on Tuesday. I called summit about M/T ET Streets for the rear and M/T Indy Profile for the front, and they want $660.86 with tubes shipped. Kinda high price, considering I hear the ET's will only last around 3k miles, is this wrong? Do they last longer?
I was thinking Nittos, I need something that will last, what do you guys think?
Here is a link to the wheels I bought....

RE: Just got my rims, now I need tires.....
Alright I figured out what I need, called DiscoutTireDirect, if anyone else needs tires, call them, Jegs and Summit were both like "I have no idea" when I started asking questions.....well I decided on 225/15 nittos in the front and 275/15 nittos in the rear, I need something thats going to last, quoted on $469.
I know I will have to remove my quad shocks to fit the 275's in there, is that all I will need to do to make them fit? Am I going to have a lot of wheel hop now? I have stock control arms.
Thanks everyone.

Well the nittos are radials and the ET streets are wrinkle walls.... The ET streets will offer more traction... I beleive the radials last for about 10k miles and if im not mistaken i believe the ET streets last the same...

LOL... Ya it is an exaduration..... They dont last long like a normal street tire obviously... The determaning factor will be the way you use them... Those nittos may only last you 5k miles you never know.... My last set of normal street tires, that were supposed to last 40k, only lasted me about 4k... As i like to do some pretty smoky burns LOL... So it all depends on you....

They say with ET streets you change your tires with your oil.

Well the Nittos are a harder compound(still much softer than a street tire), and with normal driving can last up to 15k miles whereas the M/T ET Streets are an extremely soft compound and get much less miles. The nitto will last longer, but wont grip as well, and the ET Street will grip better but its tread life is shorter.
So does anyone know anything about the wheel hop thing?
