Passenger Window Problems
My passenger window gets stuck alot, it works on occasion. I hear the motor running but the window just jerks sometimes. Almost 2 months ago i locked my keys in the car (i have a spare in my wallet but ovcourse that was also locked in lol) and the police came and opened it for me. They opened it through the passangers side. im gusseing they damaged something when he opend it but the window just stopped working recently. Any ideas???

I would pop the door panel off and see if you can see anything binding when you open/close the window. In my 88 I had a similar issue which was a combination of a dying motor, which I replaced, and a need to grease the metal slide that the window uses as a guide to go up a down.

Any chance it could be the rubber/plastic bearings in the motor gone bad. When it is "stuck" if you pull up on the window while the motor is running does the window jerk up??? If it is the bearings then it is a 20 minute $10 fix per window.

if its not the motor, check that metal slide like hawk said. i had a REEEALLY slow window going up. all i did was remove all of the old grease from that metal slide and that vertical pole inside the door, re-greased them and it rolls up and down like new.

RE: Passenger Window Problems
To check to see if the bearings are ground down take the window motor out. Take the cover off, and you should see three plastic/rubberish bushings. If you just see some peices of those bushings then they are shot (Obviously). If I had to put money on it from just hearing the issue, I would say that is what it is. The rubber bushing can be had cheap. I got mine for like $10 on ebay, but I think you can find them cheaper, maybe pepbpys, autozone of the like.
