Default stock 90 heads should bolt onto my 85...

So stock heads off a 1990 GT should be able to bolt in place of my stock E5 heads on my 85 GTcorrect? If the 90 is stock there should be E7 heads on it, which can directly replace my 85 heads with no problems or changing of anything. I have to travel a bit to pick these heads up so i just want to be completely sure there goin to work. Thanks.

If you ever run a aftermarket cam just watch piston to valve clearance. If i remember correct those 85's have flat top pistons.
