Default 1987 Mustang Gt

OK i have a 1987 Mustang Gt and i am having some problems with it?

the battery keeps on Dying!
It is Idling wrong on a cold start it idles at about 1500 rpm's which i understand.
But when it reaches water tempeture about 150 it goes to 1000rpms and drops to about 200 and keeps doing that?[:@][:@][:@][:@]

Also having trouble finding the engine oil drain?[:@]

Any suggestions?


Send some photos it would be helpful but if cant just be very descritive

trying cleaning ur iac and getting ur alternator bench tested to see if its charging the battery
iac helps control the idle, cleaners like 4 bucks
helps control air flow when the throttle plate is closed

i agree with ponyboy. sounds like iac is sticking. it is located on egr spacer. its a long aluminum looking cylinder with a two wire connector hooked to it. easily unbolts via 2 8mm bolts. i also agree with checking the charging sytem. if thats ok check for a draw on the battery. let me know how it turns out

also you might have UD pullies which don't charge well anyways in the cold, compare the size of it to a new one at the parts store, an underdrive is bigger than stock

there are 2 oil drain plugs, one in front of the sway bar, one behind

Thank you for your support.it is really helpfuli am having way too much trouble with this car i have rust connecting the windshield to the roof i have rust on the bottom of the door pannel like flaking almost to the inside of the door i need to find sumone to bondo it
