melted solenoid

Default melted solenoid

anyone have any idea why the positive side connneciton of my starter solenoid would melt? i now there must be a short btu could this be caused by a bad voltage regulator? its on my truck, 79 same 302. and ideas are appreciated.

yep, the solenoid needs too be grounded. and i thought the bracket just held it there, stupid me.
