Default Question about doors, didnt know where to post this!

Hello all, I'm new to this site, if you cant tell. Anyways I didnt know where to post this question so Im going to ask anyways. Does anyone know where I can get door shells for a 1986 coupe? I've searched the net for days and cant find any at all, New Ones that is. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I'm going to thank you in advance. Thank you!

best thing to do is check ebay or salvage yards for a set of good used ones..they make door skin repair kits but don't see any whole doors listed as new

These doors are beyond re-skinning. The bottoms of them are gone. Everybody wants an arm and a leg for used, and then good luck getting them to let you open them up to inspect the inside without buying them. Thank you for your reply.

The easiest way to find good doors is to find some close to you listed on ebay. The price of the doors isn't what kills you.... it's the cost of shipping. I looked forever and finally found a guy in indiana thats less than an hour away. I went looked at them, and bought'em. For $100 dollars a door.
It's hard to find them cheap. And I haven't found anywhere to buy new ones. Someone needs to start marketing new doors. My buddy had an '87 monte carlo SS and he bought doors from JC Whitney for like $119(new). I see more fox bodies than I do those g-body cars. So I don't understand why no one reproduces our doors[:@]

just bought a set off of e-bay the shipping was more than the doors. i paid $200 apiece with the shipping but if you consider the price of body work to fix the old ones its still pretty cheap

I know, you cand find them for 64.5 all the way up to 73 and them from 94 up til now. How retarded is that? Us fox body lovers out there are the bastard children it seems like. Maybe we all should agree on a Company that would best suit the role of maufacturing replacement doors and body panels for the fox body, and write them ALOT of "Sternly Worded" letters about our concerns.. They obviously cannot say that there is no Market for them, we all know better then that. All of you that have replied to the original post I want to say thanks.

I think I saw on a web site that dealt with n.o.s. ford parts and it said it was like $649 a door from ford. But I could think of alot of other things I could spend that $1300 dollars on..... Who needs doors anyways... It makes our cars lighter. And we could tell those jeep owners it's not just a jeep thing anymore.
