Default RE: Got My New Heads !

The car made very good power for what it is. Its got 12.2.1 compression, AFR 185 heads (Untouched), hydralic cam with 242/252 duration @0.50" and 620 lift, trickflow box intake, 75mm throttle body, 1 3/4" LT's, ect...........

It made 374rwhp at SGS automotive on a dynojet II. It ran 11.50's all last year with 350rwhp, before switching to the trickflow box and 1 3/4" longtubes.

I want to do everything I can to bust 10's with this little 302. I think these heads just might be the ticket to unlocking some hidded high RPM power. The power band on this car starts at 2800rpm and pulls up to around 6700-6800 and then levels off. I think with these new heads it could still be pulling way past 7000.

Are you still using a stock block? I would leave the compression like it is and just bolt them on. I bet that is a nasty sounding little motor!

Sadly I am using the stock block, but it has lasted alot longer than I thought it would.
