Default 289 heads over 302 heads

what is so good that one a person would convert a fuel injected motor to a carbuarted motor and switch out the stock 302 heads with 289 heads.

and the next thing i have a 93 cobra motor that is getting fully rebuilt with trick flow heads cam upper and lower intake and i was wondering if i could use the stock cam out of this motor and push rods with the 289 heads with the matching roller lifters with comp cam 1.7 rockers. To build the other motor i have just laying ther..... just curious sense i have all these extra parts laying around if it would possibley work anyones opinion would be nice.......

Default RE: 289 heads over 302 heads

the 289 heads offer little improvement other than more compression, in fact i believe that the e7 out flow the 289 heads but dont quote me. the carb issuse is easier tunability no computer tweecers etc need
