I started looking at the exhaust ports on my GT40 iron heads considering match porting them to the gaskets. Does not look like there is much to remove, so I placed the gasket on the headers to see how things will line up. It looks like the header pipes(ports) will not match the gasket/exhaust ports. It appears that the header pipe will be partially above the exhaust port on the heads??? I am pretty sure that the headers I have are motorsport 1 5/8's headers. Is this common??
