i think a dyno run or a high end tuning system is the only real way to tell.

thats what i'm doing except i will also be getting a voltmeter. i now run an electric fan and it takes quite a bit of power. don't want my battery going dead on me.

it fits nicely. the top part of the fan bolts right to the radiator where the original fan shroud was. i made a bracket for the bottom. also the stock overflow tank bolts right up with some drilling. i can take some pics on friday if you want...

as for engine temp i think it stayed about the same. my stock gauge indicates one notch higher than the middle, but i checked the upper radiator hose with an infared temp gun and it said 165. thats why i'm getting aftermarket gauges because the stock ones blow.

I have a mechanical oil pressure, mechanical engine temperature, and volts gauges mounted in my AC center vent. these are the big three that I would start with anyway. after these, I also got a mechanical fuel pressure gauge and an electric trans temperature gauge.
