My uncle has a 92 4.6 liter out of a lincoln, it has aluminum head and block i believe, now if i was to buy this motor, could i bolt mustang parts on it like the intake, and get motor mounts and drop it into a fox body, i thought if it would work it would be a interesting project,

aluminum block and heads 4.6? in a 92 lincoln? wtf? never heard of **** like that before

I think the block would be iron but the heads should be aluminum. I dont think there was and aluminum block 4.6 until years later.

The 4.6 didn't exist in 1992.

There was a 4.6 in 92. I think 91 was the first year for the 4.6 in the crown vic and some lincolns. If you remember many people thought they would put them in the new for 94 mustang but held off until 96. They only had around 220hp in those early years. There was even a dohc 4.6 before the 96 cobra also witch was put into some lincolns to match the caddy's 4.6 dohc northstar.

I wasnt sure if it was a aluminum block guess not, i dont know much bout the motor itself, except what i was told, its complete with the transmission, i was going to buy a notchback and drop it in it and see what happens
