Default cracked head?

so my car ctarted steaming the other day... not smoking... right there shortly after,it started skipping. i pulled the plugs out one by one and checked them for anitfreeze residue... when i got to the #3 cyl, there was my wet plug... so i pulled the head and the #3 cylinder is the ONLY one thats super clean. i cleaned the cyl deck and see no cracks and the head gasket WAS NOT BLOWN... I have never had a car with a busted head before and was just wondering if that sounds sensible?

Do you have it back together already?

Disconnect the coil, pull #3 plug and have someone crank the engine while you keep a towel or rag over the hole. see what comes out, if it is coolant then it is head, gasket, or block.... when you had it apart did you check your upper and lower intake as well?

have the head pressure checked if it's fine replace gasket and reassemble often times the leak past the gasket seal may not be visible....but just replace it after verifying head is not cracked
