Default Explorer GT40 intake question

I just scored a GT40 intake from an Exploder on Epay for $102.
I noticed that the hole for the IAT needs to be drilled. No big deal, but does anyone who has done this know the thread size right off so I can get a tap here at work?
Can anyone tell me the power gains from this intake over the stock 5.0 HO intake on a basically stock engine with exhaust work and minor mods?

EDIT: Found an article that says the intake is worth about 15hp with no other changes. Still curious about the IAT thread size.

Thanks,
Jimmy

Nobody done this conversion? I'm working on a very small budget so this intake will have to do until I can upgrade.

Cool, did you notice any increase in power on yours over stock? I haven't goten any heads yet so I know I'm bottlenecked there.
I couldn't tell from the pictures if it has an opening for the IAT sensor or if I was going to have to drill and tap it.

No need to drill and tap the intake, simple/easier way is to relocate the ACT to the intake air duct. The effects of doing such relocation are explained at EFI DO's and DONT's (Effects of ACT in AIR Duct) ....

Thanks, I'll look into moving it. I have a Donor 5.0 T-bird that I can get another filterbox lid from so I don't ruin my original.
