how much power can the stock fuel pump support?
I want to make sureI am setbefore I have the car tuned. I need to know if the stock fuel pump is enough for my car.It has H/C/I with full exhaust and allboltons. I figure it should be around 300rwhp after tuning. I am running 30lb injectors and a adjustable fuel pressure regulator. I do have a bbk 255lph kitlaying around. Don't want to put it on if I don't need to though.

i would deff. put it in, normally ppl change the pump when they put bigger injectors.
also a pressure regulator wouldent hurt, so you can be sure you have good pressure.

I don't need the 30lbers. I got a good deal on a gt40 crate motor with low miles last year and that is what the previous owner was running. He hada nitrous setup that I now havebut appartently he never sprayed it.

I'm running 24 LB fuel injectors with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and the stock pump works sufficiently. I think I would throw the bigger pump in if I was running 30's though. Especially because it's not that hard, and you can always back the pressure down with a regulator. You can't increase what isn't there.

def put in the pump. especially if you have it already. the 255 wont hurt anything. and its will only take about 1-2 hours to do. and its easy at that.
i installed a 190lph recently. it didnt take too long. but it helps if you have a friend to help with lowering it and such. try and do it on an empty tank so its not heavy.
stock is 80lph i believe
