start circuit question...
ok I installed a separate push button start system on my car... using the start circuit wire from the ignition plug on the steering column... but there seems to be a small problem (the starter is staying engaged when I release the button sometimes) I'm thinking there may be a lower voltage running through the circuit somewhere so I'm going to attempt to make a new start circuit depedent of the cars' original one. I'd like to run a wire directly from my button to the relay that trips the starter solenoid and just disconnect the original circuit completely. does this sound like a good plan? I just need to know where the start relay is exactly. any help is appreciated.

RE: start circuit question...
figured it out on my own... in the relay box under the hood, the start relay is the one in the middle of the back row of relays. the white and pink wire on the bottom of it triggers the relay. just in case someone else wants to put a push button start switch in their car
