Default Red Top Optima?

I am going out really soon to buy a battery for my mustang. I want to get the red top optima and of course optima doesn't have a size listed.

My last battery kind of blew on me. There was battery acid bubbling out of the positive terminal. So I can't drive the car at all until I get a new battery.

So what size red top will fit? Please I know there are many on here that have that battery. Could you please tell me the model of the battery. I don't have my stang with me and am going to head to the store after work.

Thanks all.

it's group 58 and anything more than 600 amps will do........you need to have your charging system check for over charging

Looking online it shows that model 35 and/or 25 should fit...at least it is similar to my one I have now.

Can one of you guys go out to your car and look to see what model number it is?

Thanks

i wasn't aware that they had different sizes but i know that i have the red top and i just went and bought it at auto zone and they said it was universal fit and you have to make sure that you place the side post away from you fender (you may have to get a longer positive cabel i know i did) ill check and see if i have a model number on my battery good luck man

That helped out alot. I saw that at autozone today and thought it would fit but I had a 35 or 25 model size in mind so it didn't register with me. I will go check it out at autozone then tomorrow.

Anybody else have a different size?
