so i should just swap in the whole differential, what do i do for axles then.
\no an explorer rear is not a direct bolt in and will require mods to be adapted to the 5.0 mustang...what you should do is buy a new set of gears and an installation kit and take it to a pro and have them installed

The Explorer or ranger rearend will not work because of the transfer case they use an offset pinion so one side is longer than the other.

how does RUDEDOG.357have a set in his mustang if the pinion wont fit?
