OUstang

I've decided its about time that I learn to build / rebuild a engine with my dad's help so I am going to search the salvage and junyard for a wrecked candidate. Am I correct in assuming that I should shoot for a explorer engine just for the GT40 Heads and intake off it instead of going for another mustang engine? I do want to eventually throw some money at it for a drop in to the 92 I already have or possibly another roller after i've had my fill of messing with it. Any reason a explorer engine would not work for this purpose?
