Hey everyone,
Lately Ive have been told that while driving, Gas has been pouring out of the tube that is connected to the gas filler tube. Usually its while accelerating, or turning left. Yesterday, I had less then half a tank and someone else told me it was shooting out again. I do notice that when I take the gas filler cap off, it has alot of pressure built up. Does anyone know what is causing it to shoot out of the tube that runs down to the back bumper? I looked for leaks in the filler tube, but I dont see anything. This could also explain why I'm getting around 13.5 miles to the gallon.

My car is a 1990 Lx 5.0

ive never seen gas come out the vent tube. it usually comes through the filler neck gromet... they dry rot and crack over time

check all the visible gaskets around the filler neck and the filler tube itself. as adder already said, most like dry rot is occuring.

look for bad gaskets as mentioned or cracked hoses
