OK, start by taking the wire off at the solenoid. If the fuse still pops, it's something along the cabling from the trunk. If not, it's going to be something it's powering off the solenoid. Does it blow immediately?

I checked the cable to make sure it isn't grounded out.All good I jumped the fuse holder with a small piece of wire.Then turned the ignition on.Good.Turned the key to the start position and the starter made a grinding noise and the little wire smoked.

OK, disconnect the cable at the starter. make sure it's not touching anything. Turn the key to the crank position and see if there is anymore issue w/ the fuse. If it's ok, looks like you have a short in the starter.
Edit, actually, disconnect the cable to the starter at the solenoid first and see what happens when following what I said above
