Good on the carbon flush, if you are meaning Seafoam, or some type of upper combustion chamber cleaner. As far as running higher octane, the manufacturer built the car and recommended a certain octane, use that. I would only go higher (octane) to buy me some time until I found the real problem. Fuel regulators are pretty basic and probably not your problem. Stick to the basics THEN go into other troubleshooting. We had a thing in the Marine Corps......K.I.S.S....Keep It Simple..Stup, I mean..Silly
