Default RE: GT-40 intake

To answer your question yes.... The explorer/cobra/gt-40 intake lowers are all the same... The differnece between the 3 manifolds is the upper... The upper intakes have different diameter tubing and they are all different lengths that is were you will find your rpm range and power... (shorter= high rpm/ longer= low rpm).. I am the one that 91hatch spoke of... I love the intake and am glad i went with nothing other then this... The systemmax is to much for a standered bolt on car.. When you get into higher rpms/super-turbo chargers/ higher compression and things of that sort you will need it... When magazines say it is the best flowing they may be correct but remember bigger is not always better... Its like putting and 80mm t/b on something with only a cam and intake or over carbureting an engine... Best flowing doesnt always mean best intake.. One of the most versitile of the intakes is the gt-40 and that is why i bought it.. It will support most any street/strip stang combination.... Go gt-40 no regrets here...[sm=groupwave.gif]

I need to know if a Cobra lower intake is the SAME as a GT40 lower. TIA.
