uber mild 347

Yes, the horsepower increase will not be that great, but the gut wrenching torque will make this car a BLAST to drive! Horsepower wins races, but torque is what makes it fun to drive.

see thats the thing, I love being able to stab the throttle and violently break the tires loose at 30 mph. cant wait for this bump in tq. I realise my hp will be extremely limited vs whats possible and that it is like feeding my engine air with a straw. I am gonna be saving and down the road ill get some alum heads and possible nitrous/blower then a tune. a good/better h/c/i will net me close to 100whp after I get my 347 together, while still being around the ~300wh (hopefully) with ~350lb tq

Make no mistake, it will make good LOW SPEED torque. That torque will begin trailing off at about 3,500 RPM. If you are like many folks with their Mustangs and routinely spin it up tighter than that, then as mjr says, you will be disappointed.

I called a local junkyard about an explorer upper and lower intake and gt40P heads. They wanted 225 for the intake and 225for the set of heads. Maybe you could look into that. I was considering an HCI and a 347 stroker kit. But Xmass is coming and I don't think my wife and kids would understand if I got my self such a nice present and they went without. I just don't have enough @$$ to anymore chewed.
