Default Head help

I plan on doing a h/c/i swap soon and was wonder if i should go with the Trick Flow Twisted Wedge 5.0L Track Heat Engine Kits, or some of the ford racing parts such as the GT40 aluminum heads and a E cam with 1.7 rr or something like that. Also would i have to upgrade any parts of the fuel system with these mods, i.e. injectors or pump? that is all stock right now. Thanks for the input.

if you do a h/c/i you also need to replace these parts:

upgrade fuel pump
bigger injectors
AFPR w/ gauge

you should also have a bigger tb and maf before you get your combo

if you narrowed your search down to the trick flow stuff against
the gt-40 stuff go with the trickflow combo.but there are way better
combos out there if you can spend a little more$$.

ORIGINAL: stanglx2002

if you do a h/c/i you also need to replace these parts:

upgrade fuel pump
bigger injectors
AFPR w/ gauge

you should also have a bigger tb and maf before you get your combo
So when I am done I will have

BBK CAI
C&L 73mm MAF
BBK 70mm TB
BBK 70mm EGR
Trick Flow Street Heat intake manifolds
1.6 FRPP Roller Rockers
AFR 165cc Heads
E303 Cam
BBK Shorty Headers
Headman Catless H-pipe
American Thunder Exhaust Sys.
Superior 4.10's
MSD TFI
MSD Heli-coil Wires
Autolite #25's

I know I will need a new fuel pump and FPR, I was going to go with a 190lph Holley pump, and a BBK FPR.. Will the Injectors need to be upgraded to 24#'s???

Yes you should change the injectors to 24's when you put the heads on the car. you should get a gauge with the AFPR and kirban sells a kit on eBay for $100 also all fuel pumps are made buy the same company Walbro so you can just get the ford racing one like i did for cheaper i got mine at mustangsunlimited.com

thanks for all the feedback so far...but what other heads and cams should i be looking at...i know the AFR heads are sweet but to find a cheap set is damn near impossible...im looking to spend about 2400 on everything:
heads, cam, intake, gaskets, fuel pressure regulator, injectors, fuel pump, roller rockers, new lifters and push rods, valve covers.

Any suggestions...especially on cams...don't know which ones to even look at...everything much be streetable and pass emissions, daily driver. thanks

well no not get any abc cams...you need a dual pattern cam...thier are other heads out there that flow well and are cheaper the AFR.....maybe go with a used low mile set or look at Proline heads....
pump I would get a 190lph
try the 19's before going to the 24's

I would really step away from the trick flow heads
