351vs.aluminum 302 heads
well heres my deal im installing a motor and tranny from a 87 gt that i bought but its wrecked in the front. The motor and tranny im putting in are 1995, it has edlbrock aluminum heads and cam, well the motor i have in my running car is tired but im thinking of putting new rings and bearings, or i might just go 331 stroker. my thing is that if i port the 351 heads with good valves and springs etc. will they give me more power tha the aluminum heads or what do you guys think? the heads i have now are 69 castings . thanks.

the aluminum is better in many ways..1 is the wt savings
2. I believe the valvae size is the same
3. port design in the edel's are way better than stock 69"
4. you would have to invest a few 100 in springs to match your roller cam
