pressed in head studs
I bet when he finds out you pulled the studs the price goes up. Trying to get over on the machinist could cost you. He prob broke the price down in steps so you would have a better understanding of what it cost. My suggestion would be to pay the extra 60 dollars and have him pull the studs.

ok i have another question. i did call and ask him if i could save myself some cash and pull the studs myself. he said yes he wouldnt charge the milling and intalling any higher, i would just save 60 bucks.
here is my new question though. i pulled the studs(easy task) and i used a hardened nut so i wouldnt strip the stud or nut while pulling them. there are 4 studs that striped towards the middle of the threading on the stud itself(probably just weak). i can get the nut down a little ways(not far enough to get the nut completely on) but then it wont grab anymore. any ideas of how i can pull the last 4 studs?
