Default Coupla questions on a motor build.

1990 LX Hatch. Stock short block. Eddy RPM's (1.90/1.60's), Trick flow 1.60 RR's. BBK 75MM TB, BBK shorty headers and o/r x-pipe. Five speed car. 3.08's now but will be getting 3.73's this summer. I don't have a cam yet and am leaning towards a e303, as this is the cheap and easy choice and I can't find any support on a better choice. I have 24#'s, and a Trick Flow Street heat manifold with a one inch spacer. Last night I picked up a Eddy Performer RPM intake with 30#'s because it was a good deal that I can make some money on.

Anyone have any thoughts on witch of these intakes is better for my set up? Take the 30's over the 24's? Any thoughts on a cam? Car is being set up as a summer driver. I'm going the handling route rather than the drag route, so mid range power and torque is more important than peak HP numbers.

I'd use the performer rpm, scrap the 30's, 24's will be fine for your combo and ditch the e-cam idea, either contact a custom cam grinder or look in to the comp cams xe ots cams.........coosing a cam cause it's cheap and just to say you have a cam in he car would be a waste since it won't yield the results it could of if a properly chosen set up is put together

Thanks for your input, the more I'm reading the more I'm leaning to a custom cam. I'm not skimping on anything else, I should not on a cam. You feel the the Performer will work better than the TFSH in the low to mid ranges of the power band? I have a 1" spacer for the trick flow.

Yea Performer RPM and 24#ers no question about it. Ditch the e-cam get something bigger like x-cam or TFS stage 2. Oh yea ditch the 22" rims too. To big for a mustang.
