I just tried feeling for the weep hole. And I couldn't feel one.. But I did notice of what I could see of my gasket. It looks pretty old and cracky. But that could just be from the weather/elements... And there is a hole on top of my water pump!?! I can see right in the pump.. And its not threaded or anything.. Is this normal?

Thanx

I bought a new water pump and gasket, thermo stat and gasket, And a serp. belt today. But I was reading on the serp. belt. That its 2240mm long. And I converted it to inchs. Which came out to be like 88.1xx" long. I remember reading somewhere that the belt should be 91" long!?!

You dont have to worry about that hole unless you see anti freeze coming out of it than that means that the seals/bearings are bad inside the pump and needs to be replaced. before ya go changing parts top off the radiator and let it burp out the air from the system. Than go to you local auto parts store that rents out tools and look for a cooling system pressure tester and build up the pressue to what the rad cap is and look for leaks.
+1 on the belt and thermostat btw if it was sitting for a while.

(edit)
Make sure you do NOT go higher than the pressure on hte rad cap or you can possibly cause a leak.

I topped off the radiator. Which took 3/4 of a gallon.. I couldnt get my hands on a pressure tester. So I started the car and let it run. Topping the radiator as needed. My temp gauge kept on rising.. I turned the car off once the needle started to pass the "N" in "normal" on the gauge. I felt the top left radiator hose and it didnt feel hot!?! Nor did the bottom right!?! Maybe a tad warm.. And I didnt see any leaks.. Which was wierd!!! IDK whats going on here!?! Any help and/or ideas would be nice.

Thanx
