so i could use a few more opinions here. does the stock dizzy work for advancing timing once u switch from fi to carb?

electronically no i'm not sure,but i think the hall effect that is needed to advance timing is only controlled by the ecu..

just get a duraspark from the parts store,and if you have a msd ignition box it will all work right

just do what i said before, its ur best option, and no the ****in stock dizzy wont work, why is that so hard to understand.

i wasn't disagreeing or agrueing with ya...i just answered yes he can run it,but won't be able to have the advancing privilage...

the distributor he has..has to come out to able to control advancing and retarding in driving conditions he endures..

k thanks thought u were dis-agreeing, basicly here lets sum this up real quick, you need an aftermarket dizzy that has its own advancing, which id suggest the dizzy i posted, its what im running, the factory dizzy you have is controlled through the computer, which you dont have, basicly its like runnin the efi with the spout out, it wont advance and will stay at the deg. you set it, you could get away with setting it at about 18deg. base and driving it like that if u wanted, but id suggest just gettin the dizzy i sent you........there sums it up, the fac. wont work you need an aftermarket with its own advancing feature.
