fuel system upgrade
#3
FWIW you should run a sumped system with an inline pump. 52# injectors on a boosted motor use ALOT of fuel... usually the anti-slosh baffle in the tank will actually be sucked dry at lower fuel levels during a long run.

i am one of the guys from turbomustangs and i totally agree with adder. this happened to a buddy of mine, he had a sc'd 347 and the 255lph pump was sucking up so much fuel at 4500rpm the area inside the baffle where the pump sat was being sucked dry. even if the fuel pump could keep up as well as the tank, the fuel rails need to be upgraded too. the stockers are so thin when one of those big injectors open, you have gave pressure drops inside the rail.
fwiw, i run a sumped tank, a1000 fuel pump, AN -8 fuel line, 1/2" fuel rails and 55# injectors on my turbo motor
my fuel pump and inline filters mount on the back of tank just above the sump. there is nothing like a sumped tank, 800hp capable fuel pump hanging just below the rear bumper and 10" DRs to tell the guy pulling up from behind, "dont f*ck with me" LOL
