Ignition problem??

Default Ignition problem??

I just bought an '89 5.0, My 4th fox body. It's got slightly polished GT40 aluminum SVO heads, GT40 upper intake, Cobra lower, Steeda custom ground camshaft with damn near a 1" lift, 70mm throttle body, 24# injectors, MSD ignition, long tube headers, pro chamber pipe...
It ran ok when I first got it, now it seems to be missing when it's at an idle, and it misses off and on when I'm driving. I can't figure out the problem...
timing is good, wires are good, plugs good, cap and rotor good, fuel filter good...What's next?

The car was Ran on the road race track for a few years and then driven on the street for a year or so, then sat in a garage for around a year I was told...I dont know any of the history at all either. I'm goin' in blind!!


Any ideas???

should run codes first... I had a miss only when the car was cold truned out to be my tfi module.... But deff. Run codes first

Run codes at end of koer test do the three cylinder balance test. Might point you in right direction.

#33 Insufficient exhaust gas recirculation flow
#44 Air injection system inoperative bank#1
#94 Air injection system inoperative bank#2

do you think a new MAF meter would pix the prob.?

can anyone break this down a little so I can understand?

Try taking off the battery terminal for 30 min and clean the maf before you restart it.. I don't know if it would help but worth a shot
