Higher Stall?

Higher Stall?
I have a 88 coupe I picked up 2 years ago at a great price, has been a great car. Took it to the track to see what it will run and ended up with a best of 13.6 @ 109 mph. 2.20 - 2.18 60 ft. With a trap speed like that, 13.6 isn't good enough. I was told this car has a stall in it, from a dead stop it will flash to 2500 rpm, so I'm assuming its a 3000 stall. Car weight is 2900 lbs. Has anyone got advice on going to a higher stall? Car has 3:55 gears. How much will a 3500 stall really hurt everyday driving? Will it actually only flash to 3000 on a lighter car? Thanks for any reply.

Thanks for the reply. I'd like to stay with the 3:55's because I'm going thru the traps at 5900 rpm in 3rd which is where my motor made peak power. Also the AOD wont shift into overdrive unless I lift off throttle. So I'm real happy with that part of it. I just want more off the line. I should add these times are with street tires that hooked pretty good. But my car really doesn't have that much torque bellow 3000 rpm. Above that it pulls great.
