you said explorer, have you ever seen that suv, i just dont think it cantfit in the motor bay

now if youre talking about the GT40E intake then yes its a direct fit and looks like this

so what exact year do we need to ask for, the ones with egr provisions or does it matter? i dont think my egr is even working but the car runs fine. what does that mean for me?

I've read on other sites that the Explorer intakes may also have more vacuum line outlets coming out of them than you need. Something about having to weld or plug up these extra outlets that come with certain years, but I can't confirm if it's true.

Also, there's a seller on ebay I saw claiming that the Explorer intake flows the same as the Cobra intake. Doesn't sound right to me, but who knows? If the two are different, which one flows best?

i am EGR delete so my setup is a 98


GT40E and GT40 and cobra lower are the same!!!!

GT40E is a combonation of the GT40 an cobra

it has smaller but longer runners for more mid range pull.

intake makes just about the same power as the cobra, just at a different level

this intake when ported flows very well and is a great intake for certain buildups
