You could do several fuel pressure test to make sure you have the correct fuel pressure. Also, you can do an amp draw test too on the pump and compare them with factory specs. That will give you an idea of how well the pump is performing against the OEM specs.

hey if it is whining after you shut it off.. its a bad relay. just replaced mine about a month ago, wouldn't shut off till i disconnected the battery or waited for an hour.. get a new relay and it'll help
