Hey, I have an 89 5.0 convertible GT and I want to change the steering wheel. As you prob know, it doesnt have an air bag. Are all aftermarket steering wheels interchangeable? Is all I need to do this a hub kit for example the grant hub kit for $25 and just a steering wheel....? or are they vehicle specific? I saw this steering wheel on ebay with the hub included, what throws me off is it says wont fit GT model? Why is that?

Basically what im asking is if I can buy the $25 grant hub kit and a generic $50 racing steering wheel off ebay and will it work? What do I need to look for...

Not sure why it won't work with a gt, but yes all steering wheels will work as long as you find the proper hub kit. Grant hub kits only work with grant steering wheels though, so you can't just buy a grant hub kit and put on any random steering wheel
