Default Rpm's take a while to drop down

I was istalling the gt40 intake, so when I was removing the stock lower intake I had to remove the distributor. I think it might not be timed right. When I was finished and driving the car, I noticed that the rpms take about 3-4 seconds to drop after shifting into neutral or any other gear. I know the distributor might have something to do with it. Can you help me out?

Did you spin the distribtor gear when you took it out? lol You should of just let it alone. Get some one to time it, or you.
