Default cant seperate intake and tbs

Heyy guys i was trying to swap my upper intake on my 1986 fuel injected 5.0 mustang when i ran into a big issue. I cant seperate the throttle body space from the intake. It appears to have rusted solid. I had to stop tryin to pry it apart to avoid further damage but i dont really know how else to get it off?

Whack it good with a rubber mallet a few times. If you keep trying to pry it off your going to damage it.

Ok cool.thanks. I was hoping the studs werent holding it ill try again in day time. Tonight im polishing the valve covers as they look old and dingy. Can i just bolt a explorer gt40 upper intake on or would i also need to change the lower intake?
