Default Mustang computer question.

So my 95 was swapped to a manual from the previous owner, but somehow he used the original auto ECU. I know because when I unplugged a tempature sensor it flashed a code for an auto trans. But it never gives me an engine light like it should. How did he do this? And will this give me trouble when I go chip and tune my car?

nope. your tuner can overwrite a manual trans tune right over the auto PCM.

they both share the same strategy (CBAZA) but have different tune files (J4J1, T4M0, W4H0, U4P0... etc)
