yeah, i definitely agree about the hp to cost ratio when it comes to domestics and imports. i just never wanted anything faster than 14 seconds for a daily driver and therefore didn't care that much. i still don't need anything much faster than that.. basically just a fun daily driver. but thanks for the suggestions guys. what i really want to do at this point is take a test drive in any 5.0 mustang just to get a feel for one.

it would be awesome if i could compare an auto and 5 speed back to back too... just to see the difference in fun factor that a transmission type makes on one of these cars. i actually did the auto>manual swap on my honda and i know it was a world of difference. but maybe on a mustang.. the rwd and extra torque makes even an auto more fun. yes.. no? i just think its gotta be hard to beat the much added control of a 5 speed.
