Whats the deal with thumper heads, Will it help my car as much as they claim...will they perform as good a aftermarket heads like AFR or edelbrock or trickflow? what kind of gains should I expect?

but it's a proven almost 40 h.p. gain and I bet that you could do a little bit more porting on them and see more results, save up a few hundred more dollars and get your self some good aluminums.

With so many affordable after market heads out there I never understand why people would ever spend good money to port a stock head, unless it is in the rules for a specific class or somthing. Hell you can pick up trick flows used for about $750 and do a $150 vavle job and be way ahead of the even the best ported stockers.
