Default Gears + rebuild kit...

I'm ordering 3.73's and wondering which type of rebuild kit to purchase. I have a 91 GT with 83k miles. I want everything I need so I can just give the shop my parts and have them install it. What exactly do I need? Any particular kits I should buy? Thanks...

Order everything from summitracing.com! Get the Ford Racing Ring and Pinion Installation kit($39.99) and the Ford Racing 3.73's($144.88) That should be everything you need unless you want to rebuild your trac-lok while your at it, that will be another $40.88.

95_302_Stangman you gave him just the install kit he wants the rebuild kit i think it jus has all the bearings and seals you need to rebuild the rear end. You can get them from more than just SummitRacing but heres the link for summit. http://store.summitracing.com/defaul...=egnsearch.asp Also check on ebay i got my gears for 95 bucks us n they were the ford racing ones and there is rebuild kits on there too.

Actually I'm not sure whether I need the rebuild kit or installation kit...So the rebuild kit has everything I need to install the gears + rebuilding the trac-lok? Would you suggest rebuilding the trac-lok with only 83k miles or can I just get away with the install kit?

OK here it is plain and simple. Go to www.summitracing.com and put the part #'s in the search box.

This is what you will need for the TRAC-LOK rebuild.
FMS-M-4700-B

Installation kit without the bearings.(bearings not usually needed, unless you break them)
FMS-M-4210-A

Install kit w/ bearings and seals.
FMS-M-4210-C

3.73 gears
FMS-M-4209-F373N

You will only need the install kit and gears, unless you want to rebuild the trac-lok. I would get the trac-lok rebuild just for safekeepings and the reg install kit without the bearings.
