ok so my old motor i pulled outa my car im building for my friend, i just switched cams on mine and he said he might want it. its a comp .512/.512 with i think like 286 duration, 1800-5800, like an f-cam. anyway the rest of his motor is a stock longblock, rpm intake, 650holley, 1.6's, ignition is all done up, fuel system etc. headers exhaust geared blah blah.
would putting this cam in his car be a waste of new lifters? another guy i know had a similar setup (85 heads and all) with a b-cam and it ran decently 13.4's with his crappy driving. i kinda think the cam is too much personally but dont wanna see it go to waste being its brand new.

What is the duration @ .50? This is going on a carbed 5 speed car with an rpm intake, I think it will be fine, sure the heads *could* be better but he has other supporting mods. See now this is a good cam poet, not your typical "whats the biggest cam I can fit, to hell with my cars performance I just want a lopey sound" crap that we usually get.

duration is about the same as mine and i run more lift to, it will be fine, it should run really good. what is the lobe sep 112?

those cam specs are just about the same as my "b" cam w/ my 1.7RR

it will run better than stock but it will run great with heads.

I say if you already have it or are getting it dirt cheap run it. You can always change it.....

its out of my new motor, its brand new, never been run.

the motor will have heads eventually, probly a set of gt40p's.
