Default 70mm throttle body...

If I have a 88 5.0 with a cold air intake, and everything else is stock. Would a 70mm throttle body and spacer too big for a stock engine? Im going to upgrade the upper and lower intake also. What kind of intake manifold should I buy?</P><edited><editID>90Mustangfan</editID><editDate>38011.0403356481</editDate></edited>

Yes, too big. Go with Trick Flow for the intake.

NO!!!!!!!! DONT REPLACE THE STOCK TB! The stock one will provide more than enough air flow. Switch to a mass air unit, and put on an aftermarket intake manifold. Then do exhaust. A TB will be a waste of money and time. Read the thread on the OFF TOPIC section titled "Does anyone read tech articals". I explane the reasoning there. Holley also makes good intakes for the 5.0.</P>
