Default GT40P engine? Good deal?

Hey I can get a 1998 gt-40p engine for $560 to my door complete from oil pan to intake. It has 64,000 miles on it and has a 90 day warranty. I plan I taking the heads rebuilding them and mabey getting them ported(I will be rebuilding them myself). Also I might have the gt40 intake ported. I also plan on getting a diff cam. Does this sound like a good deal? What cam would you suggest, (keep it under $200)? Thanks

What is it from, an Exploder? If so, you'll want to change the cam out. The GT40 parts on that engine are great, but the cam was more mild than a stock 5.0.

Throw an E-cam or a TFS stage 1 in there and upgrade the valve springs...you'll be happier w/ it.

My engine uses a quart of oil every 300-400 miles, it has been abused and is fairly tired. I just plan on putting in the gt40p heads and intake and then get a tb/maf new fuel pump and injectors and a different cam.

If you don't want it, tell me how I can get it. I got the money in hand.
