heads for summer
well im lookin into buildin my cars suspension up till the end of the school year which is till june..... then im gonna work all summer and im pretty sure ill make 2500 at least..... after reading more and more posts im thinkin abpout gettin a GOOD set of heads.... my car is gonna be a weekend driver maybe alittle more.... im also gonna use some of that money to put a 5 speed in place of my aod and sell the aod(gonna do this swap for sure)...... but im curious to know what heads i should go with that will go good later on with a hellion turbo or any turbo, but still make good power without the turbo cause i wont have that for another year and a half or so.... im just tryin to plan ahead of time so i dont have to re-buy parts....... i dont wanna spend more than 1300 or so for heads cause ill need money for a few other small things......and with a stock motor with full exhaust, how much more hp can i pick up from just heads and a cam.... then ill do an intake in the begginning of the school year.... i know this question comes up alot but i have alot of variables that make the decision harder.... i was gonna take out a 5000 dollar loan but when i tried to i found out my dad had a credit card out in my name and now i cant for sum reason so i have to wait awhile for that.....

If you want a nice set of heads go with AFR 185's. They will run you around $1300 new but you can always buy used. Also, check out AFR's website; they have lots of different dyno combinations on there that you can check out to get an estimate of how much power you might gain from them.

AFR's are definately the way to go unless you want to spend the money on a good set of canfields. But my vote is for AFR's, the quality is great, and I know I sure wasn't dissappointed.
-As for the T-5 Swap, yes I agree with that, stick cars are much more fun to drive. Some may dissagree, that's just IMHO.. It doesn't really matter what set of aftermarket heads you go with for our cars, just about all of them are exceptional, and will be a huge upgrade from the E7's, once you add a Hellion to the mix, you'd better hold on! Good luck in your decision.
