I have just installed a 1998 mercury mountianeer engine into me 1992 convertable 5.0 with AOD. I have added a C&L MAF, MAC COLD AIR, 70MM TB, 24 IB INJECTORS, UNDER DRIVE PULLEYS, ELECTRIC FAN, MAC FULL LENGTH HEADERS& H PIPE,and a shift improver in trans, oh and a 3:73 gear oh and a accel fmu. I was just wondering if any one has a semular set up. What can i expect out of this set up and what can i do to get the most frome it. Thanks for your time and advice......

I wouldnt expect much more than mid 14's.
GT convertibles with AOD's are the heaviest and slowest fox bodies.

Why did you put 24# injectors on a pretty much stock car?

 

I wander about horse power. The injectors was new in a box for 50$$$. the c&l is tuned for 24ib in. I bought the car when i was 19 it was my pretty car not the race car. Know it is old and getting ugly so it is time to make it faster. Just had a girl so i am now on a very,very tight budget. The injectors was purchased before the baby when the plans was more horsepower.

 

I've gotta say, you're te first person I've ever seen with an FMU on a basically stock N/A engine with 24# injectors[8D] Fuel won't be an issue, lol.
