Are these heads any good on a 306? I can get some with some RR's for $500.00 (used) What do you think???

there not bad for a cast iron head and if they are in good shape and come with the roller rockers than 500.00 is not bad

A local salvage yard has some GT40's off a 96 Explore for $150.00 a set. is that a good price? They only guarntee that they are not cracked. Would it be cheaper to get the GT40's & send them to a good shop to have them worked rather than to get the JR's?

Dart doesn't make the windsor jr's, world products does. And yes, they're better than GT40P heads

I have the windsor sr's and there quality is very good. FYI iron gt40's and windsor jr's flow about the same. The gt40's with new springs, valves, and a valve job would give you a much better head for about the same price.
