want to put these in my car along with my cobra manifold...i want to port and polish the heads and i want to mill them a pratty good amount so i can raise my compression.....and i want to put a cam anyone want to help me with that

I wouldnt bother trying to mill them for compression.. just get them milled down to a 63-64cc chamber. if you mill them to much you will create gasket and manifold alignment issues.

either get a valve job done, or get yourself some valve lapping compound and have at them. And get the FMS spring upgrade for them too!

kool sounds good thanx yea i whent to the yunk yard and i was like is that an explorer v8 i was like hell yea i got the heads and my friend got the manifold i told him he can sell it for like 150 to 200 bucks manifold was 25 bucks heads were 100....i still wanna do the same set up i was talking about the other day but except witht he heads on this time and maybe port my manifold and match it to the heads

to get the heads port and polished it will be expensive. i just got the same thing and i've been calling machine shops and it's high around here. i'm just doing a valve job and larger springs for a com cam.

the two places i called said they didn't want to mess with it and if they did i couldn't afford it. i asked around and everyone told me the same thing.

advanced has a set of upgrade springs for 75 buks


and the gt40p heads like i have came on 97.5 - 01. i got mine off an 01 mercury mountaineer
