Does anyone make a replacement convertible top frame for fox bodies? I've got a 91 LX 5.0 with the top frame broken on both sides close to the front hinge joints. By searching the internet it looks like no one thinks these things will break.

no one remakes them, you'll have to go to a salvage yard like Prestige mustang or MPS

Prestige wanted 300 for half a frame

I know, mine is cracked on the main arm where the B-pillar would be.

Well that's pretty crappy to know. Mine isn't cracked but i'd like to know that if it did take a crap i could by a new one. Everything else for a fox convertible top is available!

hopefully in a few years LMR will make one only in steel this time around... but until then, we have to hop from junkyard to junkyard to find them...

worst case is, Ford used such crappy metal, its impossible to weld it. I mean, welding cast aluminum is pointless, but I heard something about the metal being too porous or something...

or find a local 4 banger thats cheap and pirate it
